“It was my first time here, and it was a remarkable experience. The waitress in the photo was very sweet and attentive and cheerful. I got a #1 breakfast plate which includes a couple of eggs, goetta, home fries, and choice of bread. I ordered my eggs over medium and they were done to perfection. I like my home fries to be well grilled, but was afraid if I ordered them that way they might be overdone. They were fried to perfection with diced sweet onions mixed in. Shortly after I ordered I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder. It was my waitress asking if I would mind if an old Army veteran (I found out he was 92) sat with me at my table. She said he liked to talk to people. I like to talk to people and listen as well, so I was glad for the company. He agreed to let me take his picture seen in this review. Before our food came he started singing and dancing with our waitress through the narrow spaces between the rows of tables. After we ate he started singing and dancing with the other waitress all around the restaurant while other diners were smiling and chuckling. I like mom and pop kinds of places, and it doesn't get any more mom and pop than this. Visiting this place isn't just a meal, it's an experience!”
