“Wow! What a beautiful and overwhelming experience to feel like you stepped back in time to one of the most amazing old-fashioned, general stores! We went a little crazy in there! Loved how they have groceries, prepared frozen food items, a deli, dozens of old-fashioned, hard-to-find candies and treats, home decor, furniture, personal care items, seasonal decorations, clothing, sports, hunting items, old-fashioned toys, gifts/novelty items and a museum too! I can’t believe it took us so many years to finally go there! How much can they contain in a beautiful, converted, red and White House?! We can’t wait to go back and take the whole family!”

“So many awesome grocery selections - but the women acting as cashiers were downright unpleasant and that kinda ruined the experience for me. Just visited the grocery section of Tomato House and was really impressed by the variety of canned, small batch and retro food items for sale. Stopped in because my husband wanted an RC Cola and a Moon Pie on a little road trip and we thought this place looked like the ticket. We were right! There are so many canned goods in here… Jams and jellies, pickled veggies like okra and peppers, hot sauces, a variety of syrups, specially prepared seasoning blends. A cooler with a bunch of awesome local sodas and beverages. So many locally made, small batch items I was kind of astonished! And if you need to get all your groceries, not just specialty items, it is a full service grocery store with a freezer section, deli etc- whatever you need. In addition to the Moon Pie and RC Cola, we left with a bag of Mallo cups, a jar of candied jalapeños, a box of stick candy like you ate at your grandma’s house, a bottle of lavender lemonade, some black cherry soda, and a big cup of freshly boiled peanuts with a bag for the shells! When we went to check out there was a shorter brunette woman working the cash register. She was sour, grumpy and short with me and all I asked her was if she’d had a good weekend! Just a cloud of negative energy. It brought down my really positive feelings about the whole visit.”

“Such an amazing restaurant I ate there long ago when it first opened and I've struggled to get back there ever since because it's a good trip away from where I live. The food is fantastic . The staff today were outstanding. I wanted to stop for lunch but couldn't so I finished my work day and called just to see if by some chance if they were still open. They were not but they were still in the process of closing up, well they surprisingly let me put in a to go order so I managed to get exactly what I needed and wanted. That is amazing service and personally I feel the world needs more of it”
