“The food is okay. The staff was nice. The dining area is a bit small. They were pretty busy on Sunday, so there was a bit of a wait. We didn't mind. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and hubby had a burger. The salad had good flavor, but I didn't like that it was prepared with the hamburger fixings. So it wasn't leafy lettuce 🥬. It was thinly shredded with small diced bits of chopped onion and bell peppers. Way too much onion for my liking. Hubby liked the burger, but also too much onion. I snuck a couple of french fries, no bueno. They were a bit soggy and cold. Don't get me wrong we love onion, but not to that extent. The portions are hearty 😁 The soda was flat, so we opted for tea instead. It's good to see they have a good customer base. I suggest you call in your order.”

“We wanted to try a restaurant outside of Lexington, so I did some research and found this place. It is small so it has limited seating. We sat at the bar which was neat because we could watch them make the food. I didn’t realize they were known for their burger until we saw signs in the restaurant. If a restaurant is popular for a certain item I usually try to go with that item. They were extremely busy inside and it looked like they also did quite a bit of take out. It took a while to get the food but honestly every staff member were working as quickly as possible to keep up. At one point there were over 10 burgers on the grill. One waitress was a bit friendly than another but over good customer service. The couple next to us had the open-faced roast beef. If I had seen that before we ordered I probably would have gone with that because it looked GREAT. They said that every time they go to this restaurant that dish is what they get. The burger had a good cook on the meat, but it did not wow me. It seemed to be lacking some flavor from the burger itself. I was not a huge fan of the chili on the chili cheese fries but that is personal preference. My biggest issue is that I didn’t get the food item I wanted. Originally, I ordered the Bacon & Beer Cheeseburger but they were out of Beer Cheese. So, I chose the Cowboy burger…but they were out of Jalapenos. I ended up getting the Cliffside Burger.”

It was the perfect amount of food with the fries & the sandlot spread (which was amazing and I recommend getting it even though it’s 79 cents extra charge, it’s a must). The fries were nice and crispy and having a root beer float on the side, was a nice touch. It was also MASSIVE, so definitely worth the money, wish it had more root beer though. The space itself was small, but you know locals come here to eat a good burger all the time. A little outdated with the space but it wasn’t a deal breaker!
