“My family and I had breakfast here on Saturday, 2/10/24. The staff greeting us was absolutely the nicest people. We ordered cinnamon rolls, danishes, and omelettes. Every single thing we ate was outstanding. My omelette was easily the best I’ve ever had! The place was spotless, and very inviting.”

Cliffside Diner

175 Old Lawrenceburg Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601, United States

“We wanted to try a restaurant outside of Lexington, so I did some research and found this place. It is small so it has limited seating. We sat at the bar which was neat because we could watch them make the food. I didn’t realize they were known for their burger until we saw signs in the restaurant. If a restaurant is popular for a certain item I usually try to go with that item. They were extremely busy inside and it looked like they also did quite a bit of take out. It took a while to get the food but honestly every staff member were working as quickly as possible to keep up. At one point there were over 10 burgers on the grill. One waitress was a bit friendly than another but over good customer service. The couple next to us had the open-faced roast beef. If I had seen that before we ordered I probably would have gone with that because it looked GREAT. They said that every time they go to this restaurant that dish is what they get. The burger had a good cook on the meat, but it did not wow me. It seemed to be lacking some flavor from the burger itself. I was not a huge fan of the chili on the chili cheese fries but that is personal preference. My biggest issue is that I didn’t get the food item I wanted. Originally, I ordered the Bacon & Beer Cheeseburger but they were out of Beer Cheese. So, I chose the Cowboy burger…but they were out of Jalapenos. I ended up getting the Cliffside Burger.”

Old Mill Tasty Shop
4.6
( 10 reviews ) $

604 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67202, United States

“The restaurant was clean and has a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick. I was a little irritated that the sever immediately started pushing milk shakes. I understand that I had kids with me but I wanted them thinking about lunch before desserts. The Reuben was okay, the side of potato salad was pretty bland. My daughter had the chicken salad sandwich which was very good and the winning choice out of the group. The club sandwich and ham sandwiches were also described as okay. The price for four meals was acceptable. The 4 stars is for the chicken salad, it is worth a return visit. I wouldn’t discourage anyone from trying the Old Mill Tasty Shop but I wouldn’t say it is a must try either.”

“Great atmosphere but the taste was not up to the expectations. We ordered Summer rolls, which were tasty and Panang Curry, this was not upto the mark and tired bento box first time, quantity is huge and taste was good too. Had California Sushi, taste was top notch. This restaurant is better for Sushi’s.”

Toyama Japanese Steak House
4.4
( 10 reviews ) $$

15532 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 37211, United States

“During my recent visit to Toyama Japanese Steak House, I had a mixed dining experience. The highlight was definitely the sushi – we ordered the 'Pretty Woman', 'Rainbow', and 'Philadelphia' rolls. Each of these selections was quite good, offering a satisfying taste of what the restaurant's sushi menu has to offer. However, the overall Japanese cuisine experience was average – not particularly outstanding, but not disappointing either. For appetizers, we tried the calamari and fried soft-shell crabs. The calamari was a pleasant surprise, cooked well with a nice flavor. Unfortunately, the fried soft-shell crabs were a different story. They were unappetizing to the point where we couldn't eat them. Despite expressing our dissatisfaction, we were still charged the full price for this dish, which was a bit disheartening. In conclusion, Toyama Japanese Steak House offers decent sushi options but has room for improvement in other areas of their menu and customer service, particularly in how they handle customer feedback on their dishes.”

Bartonville Diner
4.6
( 10 reviews ) $$

1420 W Garfield Ave, Bartonville, IL 61607, United States

“The food was wonderful, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. I ordered the skillet breakfast with bell peppers onion & melted cheese and asked for the gravy on the side, the over easy eggs were perfect & great large flavorful pancakes. The servings were so large we had to get take out boxes. It has a wonderful small town atmosphere. The waitress didn't offer water and we had to ask for it and she failed to follow up for drink refills and it wasn't very busy when we went even at that she was nice. The prices were very reasonable. We we pleased with the whole experience overall and definitely will come back. Even though we were there early I had the feeling it's family friendly. Highly recommend.”

“Comfort foods and traditional fare at reasonable prices served quickly. Top notch service and tasty thoughtfully prepared food. Tastes great without a heavy hand on the salt shaker like some places. Food's flavor shines through as it should. No frills dining area appears to have lots of regulars. We plan to keep going and trying new things along with favorites we've enjoyed.”

Tavern On The James
4.2
( 10 reviews ) $$

280 Valley St, Scottsville, VA 24590, United States

“French onion soup was excellent broth w onions. Could have been baked a little longer to give me some crisp on the cheese. The Reuben was decent but I found it a little bland, but dipping it in the soup made the two excellent together. French fries or better than the homemade chips which was a surprise. Maybe the chips were cooked beforehand. My vegetarian wife had the grilled cheese and it liked it.”

Golden Gate Bakery
4.2
( 10 reviews ) $

1029 Grant Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133, United States

“The ratings are for the egg custard tart, they are still the best(*) in Chinatown but not enough to justify the experience, long lines and the price. After trying all the shops in Chinatown, I tend to agree with https://youtu.be/SMJ-EgvfSmk?si=tEe1cwqBtKWc5RBm My personal favorite is at Napoleon/Stockton bakery (1049 Stockton), the crust is thicker but comparable, the custard is equally good and it's less than half price. One huge difference is that Golden Gate always makes them fresh which is why they have a long line, which creates a circular problem especially when many people buy boxes. Since they reopened for realz last month I have never seen more than 2 old ladies who pretty much produce 1-2 trays at the time, so sooner or later the lines stops to a halt till the next batch is ready The coconut tart is unique and worth trying, it's the same Tart dough filled with lots of shredded coconut”
