“Very popular ice cream place, have been there twice with bf’s family, each time there was a long line. I believe they serve Perry’s ice cream, with tons of different flavors, very nice but I prefer a little more creamy ice cream.”

“Wonderful ice cream shop! We were able to sample a few flavors so we were able go get exactly what we wanted. Everything tasted great and the quantity was generous for the price. Definitely would recommend!”

“A friend told me about this place and on our way home we decided to give it a try. We got chicken corn chowder soup. It was very good. French dip and rueben. Both were great! They were very busy coming out of a rush, and our wait was a little bit, but definitely worth it. Once our order was taken, our food was our quick! We will be back.”

“Very good breakfast, omelet with bacon and sausage and cheese. Nice portion size, I'm not on the light side and easily filled me up! 😁 Minor but good part was they actually give you a decent amount of home fries. Stacy was the waitress. Good service and thanks for the timely refills. Definitely will be back next time I'm nearby.”

“It's flint for the atmosphere. Ghetto. Nasty acting individuals. Banana boat is in the hood for sure. Never bothered me or probably anyone from the area though. It's walk up stand in line service in the summer only. Best ice cream. So good. Selection is huge. Servings are huge. Price is a little high but I can't blame them when everything else costs so much right now without raised wages. They gotta stay afloat too. But it's worth the price. It only gets pricey if u add extra toppings or ingredients or get a huge serving. For cones I recommend a small. It's big in my opinion.”

“A really great pizzeria in the upper lower peninsula of Michigan. We came as a large group after an event and it was a little over an hour till close and they still sat us right away and told us we didn't need to rush, this was the start of our fantastic service. Our server was amazing. The pizzas were really great. We didn't have any non pizzas from the menu but I bet they would have been great too. They do monthly specials and we had the sweet & sour chicken pizza, it was great. I highly recommend Mio Pizza Shop. We'll be back next year for sure.”

“Really enjoyed this place! The gyoza was great and the shrimp ramen and chicken ramen were both good. If there was one thing I would change it was that the chicken was a little dry. Service was fast and friendly. It's a tiny restaurant but we were in and out pretty quickly.”

“One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! Great service and amazing food ✔️ the side salad was so good with their fresh crisp veggies and homemade ranch it didn’t last long enough for a photo. Everything we ordered was so flavorful and cooked with love. I can’t wait to go back. You gotta try this place! Ask for Porsche, she’s very knowledgeable about the menu and really helped guide us through our dining experience.”

“I ate here on 01/17/2024 I got the Oyster Po Boy plain burnt bread with Cajun fries. Which I had to add salt to them. And a can of sprite. Cost of this meal was $22.63 . I gave the good waitress $26.00. Her tip $3.37 How did I feel about the restaurant in general inside was cold, for many reasons and not just the temperature outside on 01/17/2024.”

“My favorite commercial chain was dairy queen and the concrete m&m I got from this place was really good. I'll have to make this my go-to spot for ice cream whenever I'm in the area.”

“Order ahead of time over the phone without issue, putting in for the Monte Cristo, Onion Rings, and a Garden Salad with Russian. When I arrived I was greeted by a waitress who was very excited for me to have my dinner, which actually got me excited to eat it. She exclaimed how hot everything was, how good the fries looked, and how yummy it smelled. That was a nice touch even if she was just playing it up. When I got home and dug into it all I was very satisfied. The salad wasn't too much with its size, which seems to be an issue for a lot of restaurants where the salad is treated like a meal itself. The onion rings were a little on the softer side then I like, but, they were jam packed with flavor. And the Monte Cristo was delicious, the swiss cheese, ham and turkey combo hugged by the soft and sweet french toast bread. The fries were as the waitress said, very good, crispy but with a tender inside and a solid potato flavor. Even the pickle skewer was fresh, and helped the fries go down. Overall for the rather cheap price of $28, I got a real banger of a meal!”

“Serving up home-style country comfort food since 1994, Midway Meal provides a casual and laid-back dining experience both inside and outside, all at reasonable prices. The yeast rolls and cornbread, while nice, could use an upgrade to real butter instead of whipped spread. The standout dishes include a delightful broccoli salad and a generous helping of freshly made fried onion rings. The one-pound hamburger steak, adorned with grilled mushrooms, green bell peppers, and onions, is a massive and flavorful feast. The fried pork chops, both sizable and tasty, paired excellently with the fresh collard greens and black-eyed peas. The attentive service added to the positive experience, and we left with enough for dinner tonight. Midway Meal proves to be a great little eatery, weaving in a rich local heritage into every bite of its comforting dishes.”

“I had got the turkey leg with the seafood dressing and shrimp and i was so disappointed! I was super stoked to try it and the dressing was very burnt and salty. I immediately tasted how burnt it was it was like she gave me the burnt bottom of the pan. Honestly that was just not a good business decision to put out food that isn’t near perfect. That was the most expensive menu item they had for $32 and shouldn’t have been served in that state. The shrimp, turkey leg and the sauce was great though the actual dressing was just terrible. My bf got the turkey leg with red beans and rice and it was aesthetically pleasing and did have a good taste but they just needed to have out more sauce because under the first layer was just all white rice no sauce. Overall i think i might come back but just for the turkey leg by itself. We also got the large gumbo and it had a very fishy taste. Mind you i know gumbo is typically made with a seafood stock but the taste was more fishier than I’ve had else where.”
